UPDATE statement is used for modifying the existing records in a table. The UPDATE command specifies the rows to be changed using the WHERE clause and the new data using the SET keyword.
Syntax:
UPDATE <table name>
SET <fieldname> = <value or expression>
WHERE <criteria>
